Dale Groninger, Human Resource and Compliance Manager, has been with Nirvana Healthcare Management Services (NHMS) for almost thirteen years. She is located at the Park Avenue (Orange) office. Ms. Groninger came to NHMS in 2009 with thirty-two years of experience: twenty-four in hospital settings and eight in sleep clinics.
Ms. Groninger started her career as a cardiac technician; during her ten-year tenure, she was promoted to supervisor and subsequently to assistant director. She served as Director of Cardiology, Respiratory Therapy, Telemetry, EEG, and Sleep Medicine at The Hospital Center at Orange; Manager of the Sleep Diagnostics Center [Newark, NJ]; Co-Chair Person of Emergency Preparedness, and Coordinator of the DECON Team at Columbus Hospital [Newark, NJ]; and Physician Liaison at Saint Michael’s Medical Center [Newark, NJ]. Professional memberships include the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the National Human Resource Association (NHRA).
Dale’s current administrative responsibilities are far-reaching and include implementation of policies and procedures; recruitment; compensation; support of department managers; contractual and legal documentation; workplace investigations; conflict resolution; health and safety compliance; and the coordination of [Basic Life Support] (BLS) and [Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support] (ACLS) classes.
Dale likes the fact that Nirvana is making a difference in the lives of its patients. She also is excited to be a part of the continuing growth of the organization. Since joining NHMS, Dale has had many meaningful experiences. She was especially pleased when she found that she could be of service to geriatric patients as well as those with behavioral issues. “Seeing the relief and happiness on their faces was so rewarding . . . and I got some gigantic hugs too!”
